Founded in 1997 with only one vehicle, John Bailey's taxis are now a common sight in Matlock and the surrounding area. Now with seven taxis, JB's also offer a wedding car hire service and a luxury mini-bus.
However, John is committed to keeping the company small and local, to maintain their high standards and friendly, reliable service.
Recently the company has branched out into holidays and day trips and tours of Derbyshire.

During the holiday months (July - September) JB's also run trips to Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and other local sites of interest.
Trips can also be arranged to The Heights of Abraham at Matlock Bath, where you can ride in cable cars across the River Derwent and and visit a seventeenth century cavern.
Further attractions include the Tramway Museum at Crich, Riber Castle, Bakewell Old House Museum, and Eyam Hall, a beautiful seventeenth century manor house.
