Black Brant II

This is a 1/6 scale model of the Canadian sounding rocket. The Black Brant family has been in use for over 40 years. They provide data and perform scientific experiments in the upper atmosphere. This region is unaccessable by aircraft due to the extreme altitude. This same region is too low for satellites to operate in.
The rocket is made from a Cosmodrome Rocketry kit. It has a 29mm motor mount and descends on a single 36" parachute. Typical altitude is around 1500' on a H128 composite motor.

Specs: length 54", width 2.6", wt 20 oz.
