Jason Brescacin RN aka Coach 'J'
DOB March 9/1975 Winnipeg Manitoba Canada
Triathlon Career: Began racing in 2000 at the sprint and Olympic distance with multiple top 10 finishes on the Alberta Circuit. Moved up to Ironman in 2001 with a total of 10 starts and 10 finishes to date, PR 10:26 and 110th overall at Ironman Canada in 2005. Long distance racing has become my passion as an athlete but helping people reach there goals and become active in this sport has become my passion as a coach.

Coaching Background: I am a Registered Nurse by trade with a background in Intensive Care. I first began coaching in 2005 as part of a Calgary YMCA intro to Triathlon Swim Group. The group needed guidance on the bike and I was happy to lead the group. The experience level ranged from first time triathletes to first time Ironmen. By the end of that summer I had begun working with a handful of the group in a more individual capacity. In 2007 I began the process of acquiring my NCCP certification while continuing to coach individual athletes at distances ranging from Sprint to Ironman. Winter 2006 my family moved home to Winnipeg and I took the position of Head Coach for the TRIFACTOR Triathlon Team. Working with this group has been amazing as I am now in my second term as head coach. We saw many first time athletes get their feet wet and took a crew of 6 to Ironman Canada where all achieved and exceeded their goals, see my athlete bio page for more.
While I continue to pursue my own athletic goals, I have embraced being a mentor and guide to others in what can be a complex and intimidating sport, but one that I believe is the greatest in the world, because it's not just about times, and finishes. It's a lifestyle, and a social network unlike any other I've encountered. So I invite you to tour my site and contact me so that we can discuss your goals and see if I can help you get there.
                                                                          Sincerely Coach "J"
