| This piece is about 12 inches high. It was made from a band sawed basswood block and based on a Doane project from several years ago. Walking stick and tree were carved and added. Ornaments were turned out of quarter inch dowel rod and attached with fish hook eyes. Small fish hook eyes were cut off with about a quarter inch shaft and inserted for ornament hangers. It is finished in acrylics, coated with an antiquing solution, and sealed with Deft Wood Sealer, three coats, bagged between coats prior to final assembly of cane, tree and ornaments. | |
