The lynx was carved from a basswood rough out from Debbie Edwards. It is mounted on a Manzaneta root. The eyes are carved round, painted, and covered with clear finger nail polish. The fir burning is the "Y shape" style taught by Debbie at a seminar held in St. Peters Cultural Arts Center, May 1998. The burning covers less than 10% of the surface, giving a good representation of fir. It is finished in acrylics, covered with an antiquing solution, and finished with three coats of Deft Wood Sealer, bagged between coats.
