This sunset phenomenon in Waterton,
Canada looked very much like smoke from a forest fire.
Coincidentally, the very next
day the Glacier National Park was the site of a forest fire
that threatened not only to close the Park but destroy the Park's
two closest towns. The fire
raged on for two weeks and consumed hundreds of acres of forest
land and a number of homes.
