Allies
Quarrel
Makes it very difficult to investigate the goings on with Dr No, initially, due to the threats placed upon the community by the villain.
Later Quarrel proves that his local knowledge knows no rival and, in the end, he sacrifices his life to help bond find Dr No's hideout.
Felix Leiter
Works for the CIA in both the U.S and the Caribbean. Bond and felix are introduced to each other quite distinctly in Dr No with leiter spying on bond, following his every move from Kingston Airport. He is the one who brings Bond and Quarrel together, but makes a marginally smaller role in the film after that.
Strangways
Bond is sent to Jamaica because of Strangways. As a MI6 agent, he was investigating the goings-on of Dr No in the locale when he was killed by "The Three Blind Mice". Strangways played cards with Professer Dent, much to his mistake as Dent was a double agent for Dr No. It was he who ordered Strangways death when it became clear he was getting to know too much.
M
The driving force behind bond in every film, "M" acts more like a schoolmaster than the head of the Secret Service in certain ways-the scene where he complains to Bond for his continual use of the jamming-prone Beretta pistol instaed of the more modern Walther. He is not particularly keen
on Bonds methods in the field but still has a high opinion of him nevertheless.
Moneypenny
In the film we get a glimpse of "M"'s secretary, Miss Moneypenny. Not only is she a secretary she is an alternate mouthpiece for "M" himself at times where it would be impossible to say certain things straight to Bonds face.
Major Boothroyd
He is head of Q-Branch, the gadgetry and weaponary branch of the Ministry Of Defence. He is only seen at the begining of the film. Major Boothroyd is responsible for persuading Bond to change his gun from the "blasted" Beretta to the Walther PPK.
