What are Heroes?
What are heroes? Faith unshaken. Understanding, patience, love unmeasured. An act beyond the call of duty, Hope, faith, peace of God almighty. Responding to unforseen dangers, Holding, comforting, caring for total strangers. Running in while others are running out. God bless the hero and what he or she is all about. |

Guardian angels don't leave me now, For I do know inside who has sent thee. Soothing, comforting, tender loving care from thee, Guardian angels I feel your presense near to me. I feel the touch of your gentle hands against my weary body, feel the warmth of your tenderness towards my broken heart hear your gentle voice deep inside my troubled soul. Stay near me my sweet guardian angel I pray, Give me strength from within to go on Give me hope and courage to face what I must face, Replace the sorrow of my broken heart with joy, give me sweet victory and rest for my soul Guardian angels don't leave me For I do know inside who has sent thee.

The extra Mile Some people don't understand the way I feel inside They look at me and say outloud, it's only foolish pride But Oh, if they could only see, then they would know The candle would burn in their heart and the light would grow For those who gave their time and took the extra mile
Some times that road was hard to walk Some times that road was lonely, cold and dark Sometimes that road was filled with bitter sweet sorrow But you never ever thought about loosing tommorrow You took the good with the bad and walked the extra mile.
This I know because I"ve seen it with my own eyes from the time I was a child, Oh, I came to realize The helping hand you give to keep us safe from all harm The comfort you give to epp us from all alarm The smile you bring when you walk the extra mile
The way you give at Christmas time, to a family in need goes beyond the call of duty in deed The way you give to a family that's down on their luck making them feel like the boats not stuck All because you walked the extra mile
Now that I've seen the way you are I pray each night that God would bless the shoes you wear Protect you and keep you near to his caring gentle hand To give you peace, hope and that he too would understand That you walked with style, that long hard extra mile. |

Memories Like gentle streams, it flows in my mind out of rhythm and out of time. Thoughs of the past so long ago; A child playing in fields and golden meadows. I sit on a dock as the sun sinks fast, Remembering all the treasures of my past. Sometimes were good, some times were hard. Sometimes were happy, sometimes were sad. Flowers remind me of youthfuful play: As the wind blows on this beautiful day. Birds remind me when I was carefree, Learning and living just to be me. As I grow old and take a look back, I realize that I was on the right track. With my family and friends right at my side I grow old and look foreward to die, The treasured memories, I breath with a sigh. |
