| To insure or not to insure....that is the question. If you have the money, then yes, if you are a budget travel, it feels cost prohibitive. We have the money and will choose on of the companies listed below. We are still investigating this as of August 6, 2001. The Adventure Travel Network: Travel Protection Program International SOS 1 World Travel Insurance Travelgaurd Navigator Travel Insurance (If they insure U.S citizens) We will also be using another organization for minor medical needs. The International Association for Medical Assistance to Travelers (IAMAT) is a network of physicians who, for a small fee, will provide basic medical services. This will be helpful to help diagnose common illness and get appropriate medication prescription/recommendations (You can get many medications over the counter in other countries, you just need to know what to ask for). We will carry a world directory, use their web page, and utilize Dr. Forgey (our physician) who is a member to tap into this resource. |
