February/March Nepal: Katmandu (Trek: Jiri to Everst Base Camp ) April Tibet: Lhasa ???? April/May India: Varanasi, Goa, Dehli End of May Home ??? |
| Departure: September 5, 2001 Chicago-San Francisco-Taiwan-Bangkok Thailand, 12 month open round trip ticket; purchase other tickets as we need them. Attempt to do a lot of over land travel (e.g. Thailand-Cambodia-Vietnam-Laos-Thailand; Nepal-India) Return: 8-10 months. Depends on how long the money lasts and where the spirit moves us to go to next. Travel Philosphy: See fewer places for longer periods of time (we may not do half of the stuff on our itineray) Move slow, stay as long as we want (or are allowed), get to know the people, the country and the culture. Possibly volunteer if an opportunity arises. Enjoy ourselves every step of way....No pressure to do..to see....to get here.....to get there.... Travel Goal: Broaden our perspective of the world. Learn aobut ourselves (It is our honeymoon!). Take a risk to let go of lives and see what we might become. |
