Plateau.jpg

IImagin you're driving along on this flat, straight road, on this flat treeless desert, when all of a sudden, you see the road in front of you drop down into what looks like a small depression. Only to realize once you get up to that depression, that it is in fact a drop of about 300 feet from the plateau you've been driving on for miles! Well, that's what happened here. This picture was taken looking back up to the top of the plateau, from a senic pull-off about 100 feet down from the top. I attempted to take more pictures, but alas, I had taken so many pictures of the cacti, that I was out of film.
