When we left Denver City, and headed into New Mexico, I was amazed at the beauty these flowering cacti provided to the otherwise flat and treless landscape. This particular plant was probably only about three feet tall, but some of this same type of cacti were up to 6 feet tall. I think they would make an attractive, and secure fence! I know I wouldn't want to try to get through a bunch of these!
