You ARE ON VACATION

We all need a little time out occasionally, a breathing spell, a small vacation.

You would if you could, you say, but you don't have the time or the money, or it's just too much of a hassle.

But don't worry, you don't have to pack your bags. You don't have to buy a ticket. You don't have to find someone to drive you to the airport. You don't have to get a catsitter or ask your neighbor to collect your mail.

Going on vacation is as easy as Aladdin rubbing his lamp, easier, he had to wait for a temperamental genie.

All you have to do is sit down, or lie down, and with just the opening of this book ...

You are drifting on a log down a river in the Amazon.

You are seated on a giant tortoise in the Galapagos Islands.

You are grinding up cacao seeds to make chocolate in Chiapas, Mexico.

Flip a page and you are wandering down a path to some waterfalls. Just think, every day you can take a little break, find a delight. You can lie in bed and read a travel story written from your point of view. It gives you a change of scene, a change of perspective.

Isn't that just what you need?

Now, take a deep breath. Relax. Clear your mind. Let go of all the distractions around you, blurr them out, and then shazam!

You are on vacation.
If you keep running down the road chasing something that is always just out of your grasp and sometimes out of sight -- in your exhaustion maybe you ought to stop and rest, take a right turn and wander off into the bushes or down a little path, maybe you should just meander until  you find a stream -- and perhaps a waterfall -- and maybe when you've stopped running you will encounter and possess something more suited to you, something you should have been pursuing all along -- now that you are not running, you will of course have the opportunity to recognize it, it has been waiting for you --Focus.
