During the summer of 1954 Denny, his brother Karl, Bob Gordon (W-55) and myself drove to Lake Tahoe in Denny's 48 Ford. Every grade on highway 395 resulted in the Ford over heating and then we would add water. I caught Denny in a classic moment that tells a good story. We made it to Tahoe, learned to water ski, learned about Nevada style gambling, hiked up the western mountains for some fishing
(that is another classic photo), and had a memorable time.
