| The Woodill Wildfire was to have been Willys Sports car. It is considered the first production fiberglass sports car. This was mainly because it got such wide coverage in the press at the time initiated by producer Woody Woodill. The body was manufactured by Bill Tritt (Glasspar Boat Builder) and the frame & running gear was all Willys. There were 2-3 1952 factory cars produced in Downey Calif and seven restyled cars produced in 1953. When Willys merged with Kaiser Fraiser Woody started selling them as kits, or cars in various stages of completion according to the buyers preference. |
