We did a lot of other restorations which we sold or traded some time ago. They included a 1956 Ford Pick up, a 1957 Chevy Bel Air Sport Coupe, a 1954 Studebaker Starlight Coupe, several T-Birds and of course many Hudsons. The most fun was being able to beat professionally restored cars. For a past teacher who was told "Those who can't Teach" this became a real personal challenge.
This is our 1955 Corvette V8. The car was assembled June 17, 1955, almost the day we graduated from Burroughs. Less than 20 yellow vettes were produced in 1955. Total Production was 590 cars. Since the car had side curtains, no sun visors and no way to lock the car, it was deemed impractical for the American Consumer. Corvette almost died that year even though the old stove bolt six had been replaced with the powerful new 265 V8. This is our newest complete restoration and has won several first in class awards. This is the first car that my son painted.
This is a 1954 Nash Healey that was given new by AMC to Walt Disney. I bought from a Disney Exec. This was one of my first restorations in 1972. The car is one of 90 built that year. Total Production over the five year run was 501. 1954 was the last year.
