This is my latest "toy" a Christmas present I recently gave
my self.    It is a 1963 Studebaker Avanti R2
(supercharged), 4 speed manual transmission, and less than
30,000 miles.     It is all there, and in reasonable
condition.    So far, I have fixed a carburetor problem, and
replaced the rusted exhaust system.    The fuel pump seems
to be leaking a lot of oil, and that will be the next
project.     But, it is buried behind a lot of stuff that
must be removed before I can get to the pump.

Thursday night, it snowed here in Big Bear Lake, and I
wanted a new photo of this car.    So I grabbed the digital
camera, and went for a ride around the lake  (that is always
fun).   All the choice photogenic places showing the blue
lake were covered with about 6 inches of snow, and I did not
want to get stuck.    I finally found this seldom used road
about the time the sun was going behind the mountain.
Looks better than I expected.
