A Butterfly's Story
Here's the Tale:
Julia Hill was born in Fayetteville Arkansas, and spent much of her young life traveling across the country with her evangelist father, her mother, and 2 brothers Mike, and Dan.

Julia became quite successful as she got older, after graduating at 17, and started her own business, and even started managing other business's by age 19.

But that all changed after a terrible car accident happened, turning the world as she knew it inside out.
Having suffered horrible trauma to her skull, after her head was jammed into the steering wheel of a hatchback car she was driving, after a drunk driver hit her from behind.

After a long recovery, Julia set out to travel the world, she had a great need to see other places, and experience new things.
Which lead her to take a trip with her neighbors to California.

As soon as they reached the Redwoods, Julia ran out of the car and into the woods, something called her to run deeper into them, before she fell to her knees, in awe of these ancient Giants beauty.

She was in love, and never experienced such pure air, and wonderfully diverse surroundings.
Julia soon after, went to EPIC in california, and was shown pictures of clearcuts being made by Pacific Lumber/Maxxam, and was shocked at what she saw.

"It looked like someone threw a bomb in the middle of the forest" julia said.
She knew there was something she had to do to save these forests.
After a while, trying to get into a treesit being conducted by Earth First!, Julia finally got the opportunity to sit in Luna.

What she didnt know, was that she was about to conduct the longest treesit, by a single person, in history.
Living in Luna for 738 days, was plauged with horrible storms, ( El Nino), and threats from PL workers, trying to both scare her down by, starving her out, ( which didnt work ), and blowing air horns through the night to keep her awake, worst of all, flying an helicopter above her, almost blowing her out of Luna's branches.

But this didnt bring Julia down. She had her mind set to save this tree, and to speak out for the forests, and she did so succesfully.
ON december 19th, 1999, Julia touched ground for the first time in 2 years, having made an agreement with Pacific Lumber, to save Luna, and a large area around her.
Now Julia is currently working with her foundation " the Circle of Life Foundation", working for evironmental and social justice, and speaking all over the world, about her sit, and preserving the Environment.
