The Summer of 2002
Helping Ian and Hayden celebrate their second birthday were family and friends from the neighborhood.  You can see they loved their chocolate cupcakes decorated with Elmo.  In the year since they turned one they became a bit neater in handling the frosting on their cake.
This is one of my favorite pictures of the twins.
Here they are enjoying their swing set.  Hayden seems to be fearless when it comes to gymnastic moves.
Nana took a class on balloon creations and all the kids at the party loved the hats and animals made for them.
Emily has enrolled in gymnastics classes for the past two summers and she also puts the swing set to good use. The kids got lots of use out of their little pool this summer but in the cause of modesty I haven't put any photos of their swimming in the buff on the web site.
Grandma Jean helps the twins during one of their "pony" rides at Fort Robinson in Nebraska.  They enjoyed a four day family reunion there, having a wonderful time going on hay rides, eating breakfast and dinner from the chuck wagon, watching a rodeo and enjoying the company of cousins, aunts, uncles and grand-parents.
While Brian and Noelle took a trip to the Cayman Islands we had the twins all to ourselves. One day we took them to a local historical farm where they enjoyed the animals and climbed on a covered wagon.
Noelle enjoyed her vacation to the Cayman Islands but was thrilled to get her arms around her babies again.
