Thankyou
Well, thats it, the end of JBBL. Today (Wednesday, 22nd September, 2004) we held our last show. Quite a sad time, but not a bad show. We played all our favourite songs. AB choose Feeder and The Fergusons, Ben chose Frenzal Rhomb and You Am I, Jason chose Green Day and Eskimo Joe and I chose The Vines and Gyroscope. We ended with Eye of the Tiger, the first song we ever played on JBBL, back in September last year.
Doing JBBL has been great fun, thinking back to our first show, we were very nervous, got a lot of shit put on us, but that didnt stop us, we kept doing it, before we had even held our first show we had already tee-d up an interview with The Butterfly Effect down in Wollongong. This was a highlight, they were great guys and it was a very fun interview, I think Ben and Glenn from the band really enjoyed themselves aswell. After about a month of JBBL'in we decided that we'd allow people to request songs and we'd wack em on for em. This seemed to work and interest grew alot. In this time we also held our second interview with The Living End at Sweeny's. The best live band in Australia had agreed to an interview with some crappy school radio. We were stoked, it was a great interview actually. The Living End were extremely nice..
2004 came, and a new direction, we played more of the songs you wanted to hear, but towards the end, downloading 10 songs each week took its toll, and we went back to playing our music. This year saw an awesome 70's Mufti Day staged by the brilliant SRC. This was fantastic, half the school dressed up and everyone really enjoyed themselves thoroughly. We also held a Australiana Mufti Day and an Olympic/Sporting hero theme Mufti Day. These were all great days along with the Shave For a Cure day in which we raised over 2000 bucks for the Leukeamia Foundation of Australia, somewhat of a fundraising record. The Swimmng Carnivals and Athletics Carnivals were all great. Well done to everyone who participated.
I would like to congratulate Ben Lavender for coming out of the closet this year. We all knew he was somewhat of a Homo-sexual with those strange dreams he was having. Jason Burridge found himself a girl (or 2) That actually liked him (Hard to find). Just a pity they were just a little too young. Ab had his Tasmanian sixth finger removed, which he was extremely happy about, and well I lost 2 kilos in 2 weeks thanks to Jenny Craig. Give em a Call!!!

Id also like to say to Rachel, Dave, George, Langers, Mark, Aaron, Marshall thanks for the help and support, couldnt have done it without ya and a special mention to Davo and Gazza, our JBBL roadies last year.
