John Bonham
When John "Bonzo" Bonham met Robert Plant that started a band together called the Band of Joy. They ended up breaking up and later John was approached by a guitarist named Jimmy Page, Jimmy had recruited Robert , Robert told Jimmy about him. So Jimmy asked John if he would like to be part of his band the YardBirds, John said yes so they changed the name to the New YardBirds. Then upon a statement made by the Who's Keith Moon that "you'll go over like a Lead Zeppelin," they ended up changing the name to Led Zeppelin.
One night John went out drinking now John was known as a drinker, but even this night was to much for him. He had 40 shots over a four hour period, he called a cab to bring him to Jimmy Page's country home where he was laid to bed by a roadie. Sometime in the night John had vomitted while unconscious, and chocked on his vomit. Bassist John Paul Jones found him the next morning unconscious. After that they officially broke up.
