Duane Allman
"Develop your talent, man, and leave the world something. Records are really gifts from people. To think that an artist would love you enough to share his music with anyone is a beautiful thing."--Duane Allman
Duane Allman was truly gifted, and surely the best slide guitarist of his time. WHen he would play he literally reached the sky, Duane was someone who had such a powfully developed sense of where he wants to go on the guitar and his playing ability that no one can't help but be mesmerized by his style and tone control.
In October, in an effort to avoid a collison with a truck, Duane crashed his motorcycle and died fowolling three hours of intensivesurgery. THis tragic accident robbed music of oen of its exceptional talents whose all too brief legacy reveals an individual of rare skill and humility.
