Computer Programming

I started my programming experience in Qbasic, back in grade 10. I then moved on to Turing, which was the language taught at my high school. In my OAC year, I wanted more power, so I moved on to C. I then learned Java and C++, which I mostly use now. You can download my games and try them out, and I'd love to hear any comments you have about them. Unfortunatley, I always seem to come up with a new project while halfway through an old one, so most games are not as complete as they should be.

Windows Programs

Lately I've been doing work in Windows, especially with OpenGL. I currently only have one of my projects up on this page, but I'm working on another game and I have a screenshot of it.

Java Applets

DOS Based Programs

Note: These programs were built for DOS. So, they are not guaranteed to work in Windows. I know for a fact that the keyboard input does not work in Windows NT or Windows 2000, but it seems to work ok in Windows 3.1/95/98 (as well as in DOS).

Programming Resources

C Games
  • Space Battle: fly several different missions in this space battle simulator. Full 3D game, with wireframe graphics. This is my best game so far, although it still isn't complete yet. Check README.TXT for game instructions.
  • Ice Racing: this is the beginnings of a 3D ice racing game (driving a car on ice). It was lots of fun to try to get the physics of slipping and sliding to feel right. Use the arrow keys to move.
  • Jetboard: I made this one time when I thought how cool it would be to be able to surf on a jet powered board that hovered above the ground. Right now you just surf around a 3D track, but eventually I may make it into a race, or tag-type game.
