HISTORY OF BATTLE MAGIC INCORPORATED
We are an original
"old unit" in the Battletech universe.
But our history is very short!
Founded in the year 2510,BMI was at that time a unit of the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns (AFFS) of House Davion. Battlemechs were just beginning to be seen in combat, and the dynamics of warfare were going to change forever.
A senior "mechtech"
Captaintech Jana Nakitsu realized that there was allot of money to be made
fixing these awesome weapons of war. So around her she gathered the "best
of the best" as far as techs go. For people always forget that the lowly
"tech", also can pilot and fight a Battlemech. The philosophy was
simple...BMI services went to the highest bidder, no politics, borders, or
belief mattered.
It was the money, plain and simple.
So with the blessings of House Davion, and a charter from the MRBC (Mercenary
Review and Bonding Commission) on the Planet Outreach. BMI started its climb to
the top of the Mercenary units (A+)
Sadly that all came to an end...
In 3049 came the Clans.
While working under contract with the Draconis Combine (House Kurita) on the
periphery border, the Tech/Warriors of BMI ran into the advance of Clan Smoke
Jaguar. On the fringe planet of Bjarred, the unit for all intent was wiped
out...never to be heard from again. But then in 3061 a group of Draconis Combine
patriots known as the "Alshain Avengers", raided a prison camp in the
Clan Occupation Zone. There, members of Battle Magic were found still in
captivity. After a thorough debrief, and a long trip back to the planet
Outreach.
The remaining members of BMI regrouped, and recovered their Charter from the
MRBC. The unit was reborn as BMI/BMT
Battle Magic Inc./Battle Magic Technologies
BMI's mission remains the same, while BMT's mission is to recover and integrate
"Clantech" and Clan tactics into the inner sphere armies.
