Brief History!

Pygmies were the first people to live in and on Equatorial Guinea. they were the ones who started the Fang language. they lived there before 1200s the island and country became independent on October,12,1968! not long after Francisco Macias Nguema took control of the government. he was the president dictator. in 1979 army officers led by lieutenant coloner Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo. He overthrew Nguema and made a military government with Obiang Nguema as President. In 1991 Equatorial Guinea got a new constitution. in 1996 Obiang Nguema was reelected as president.
