Commentary: Lake Tahoe is one of the most beautiful places my eyes have ever seen. My family did a lot of camping there when I was younger and I recently went back and Tahoe is still as beautiful as I remembered it. The water is crystal clear and I heard that it is about 97% pure. I was about 100 yards out (still standing) and I could still see my feet. The only bad thing is that the water is cold. In Tahoe's hottest summers the lake will get to a max of about 68 degrees and in the winter the lake will not freeze.
