Hello, welcome to my Reading Nook. It's not as exciting as my other pages, but hey, I like it. :) Here you will find just the plain stuff, ma'am, reading book recommendations. I'll have a picture, a short summary, and a recommendation to kill for. Try these books or write in the guest book how much you disagree! :) P.S. For you inspired critics, send me your reviews (with title and author) and I'll post 'em !

Together, "The Gunslinger", "The Drawing of the Three", "The Wastelands" and "Wizard and Glass" are the first four books in Stephen King's incomplete fantasy series "The Dark Tower". These are awesome books. They have at least a PG-14 to R rating, so be warned. Based on Robert Browning's poem "Childe Roland to the Dark Tower Came", the Dark Tower series concerns Roland, the last Gunslinger's quest to find the Dark Tower (although the question of what the Tower is is unknown). He lives in a "world that has moved on", a sort of apocolyptic, fading place.. There, he meets Jake, Eddie and Odetta/ Detta who make a sort of destiny-bound group. I love this series for the whole western/fantasy/another worldy quality. The best book (in my humble opinion) is "The Waste Lands" if not for Jake's "The Truth" essay, well, there's an insane train named Blaine in that one. Overall, it gets a **** out of **** rating. Go check it out!
I'm not sure if these books need an introduction, but here it go: The Harry Potter books are a planned series of 7 books by a Scottish woman named J.K. Rowling. They concern a boy who had, up to his 10th birthday lived a miserble life in his Aunt and Uncle's cupboard. What changes on that birthday is Harry finds out he is a wizard. Not only that, but a famous wizard who survived and somehow defeated the most evil wizard "He Who Should Not be Named" AKA Lord Voldemort. Next thing, he's wisked off to Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry where many wonderful and exciting friends (Ron and Hermione especially) and adventures await him. However, with each book, Harry's past with Voldemort grows into something more threatening. This is a wonderful series, if you don't know it yet. However I've found you either love it or shrug it off. Howver, I loved it. You can really get lost in the story and it's hilarious! So, snuggle up to this wondeful series tonight! **** out of ****!
"Something Wicked This Way Comes" by Ray Bradbury is a wonderful classic of Good vs. Evil and simple growing up and growing old. Will and Jim are best friends who couldn't be more different. They're night and day. One day, a mysterious carnival comes to town, close to Holloween, when carnivals usually don't come. Strange things start to happen as the hidden desires of every person in town is tempted by the leader of this carnival. Including Will's. The two friends race to save themselves and the people of the town from the carnival's clutches. What follows is a beautiful, gripping story of adventure, darkness, and cool stuff :) It's score is a *** 1/2. The only reason is Jim's father. Read it to see what I mean (but I like him, he's cool, but you have to read it to see why I say that, so shoo! Go on!)
