| Vic Reeves first met Bob Mortimer when he was performing Vic Reeves' Big Night Out (or its equivalent) in pubs. At that time Bob was studying law and was part of the audience to Vic's show. The series was soon snapped up by the BBC and created a small cult following. Vic Reeves' real name is Jim Moir- hi stage name was created (so legend has it) by mixing his two favourite singers together Vic Damone and Jim Reeves.
