| The greatest sketch show ever made, hell even Baddiel's funny in this! This program was pretty much what it says in that it was based around experiences, or discussion of. The Mary Whitehouse Experience boys consisted of Rob Newman and David Baddiel (who paired off for their own show) and Steve Punt and Hugh Dennis (who paired up for their own show). The comedy was very energetic and fast moving. An experience was always introduced by the writing usually followed by one of them forming the basis of the sketch and then it being performed. This show began life on Radio 4 in 1989 and they continued up until the first televised series on the BBC. There were four series of the radio show but only two of the televised series. The Radio show also featured different comedians (these did not follow them onto The Mary Whitehouse Experience Program) Books: The Mary Whitehouse Encylopaedia (1992) Televised: Series One (1991) Series Two (1992) |
