Madness appeared in the late 70's, they were a band based in the SKA/ Pop genre.

Their songs were often humorous but with deeper undertones, their song 'Embarressment' for example was an account of ahe band members relationship with a girl of different race and how people reacted.

Madness were all about fun and had various hits such as 'Driving In My Car', 'Must Be Love', 'House of Fun' and 'Baggy Trousers'.

*NOTE*
The band was named after a song by Blue Beat musician Prince Buster, (they later covered this song.) Also their first song was about him "The Prince".
