I first found Gorman by chance on the beeb with 'The Dave Gorman Collection' when it first came out. I started watching the first episode then after crying with laughter and consumed by intrigue I recorded the first episode. I recorded all of them in the end. It was fantastic.
'The Dave Gorman Collection' was derived from a bet that Dave had with his mate Danny Wallace that he couldnt find other Dave Gormans. Dave was bet that he couldnt find a Dave Gorman for each card in the deck 'including the jokers'. There are so many funny tales along the way with this story and lots and lots of travelling. A graph was used to show the mpdg (miles per dave gorman).
The next series he had was 'Dave Gorman's Important Astrological Experiment' a series in which he followed his horoscope through varying different astrologers religiously (the results being very good!). It was a fair experiment though as his twin brother was the other subject in the test. The system was worked out on Love + Health + Wealth= Happiness. A graph was used to show the Happiness scale.
The next highly original Gormanesque encounter I faced was 'Dave Gorman's Googlewhack adventure'. A Live show based on his journey as he followed googlewhacks in an attempt to get a straight line of ten. A googlewhack is a term for the peculiar instance when two words are entered into google (real words) and produce only 1 hit.
