We went to Seattle then drove to Portland in the beginning of September of 2007. We had a 5 girl reunion because we thought our friend K was going to be absent for 2 years while being in Europe. S and R flew in first then it was T and K who flew in next and then I flew in after my orientation. N and F picked me up in Seattle then we headed to Chinatown to have dinner. I forgot what place we went to have dinner but it was pretty DEAD! Seattle isn’t too famous for its Asian scene I suppose. Then we went to check in at our nice hotel in downtown Shereton. I don’t think there was much bonding time that night. We were all tired or all odd with each other? I don’t know. In any case, the next day we walked to Pike’s and ate at Ivar’s and spent a day at Bainbridge island. There was really nothing too exciting there since I’ve been there before. Then we met up with N for dinner at Thai Tom near the U. dub district. We also went bar hopping and danced the night away. K wasn’t feeling like dancing though I think. I was fending for my life with that car because it was difficult to drive. One night we also went to visit N and F’s new apartment. I was hoping to do more nature-y things but it was a trip for K so we were flexible. We ate pho one day in Seattle before heading out to Portland? We treated K out to eat sushi in Portland. Portland was kind of cool. I wish I did more exploring. It was very industrial but has this cool vibe to it as well. We stayed in Bellevue one night and in Portland is where I left on Alaska Airline in the morning to go home. We stayed by the airport. I think the best night was in Portland when we went into ACE hotel and took some photos then found PIX desserts and sat and chatted with over coffee/tea/desserts. In the morning we went to Elmers to eat brekkie. I miss my girls!
