SFO > ATLANTA > FLL
I join my friends from college on a long overdued & well deserved break to Miami, Florida over Memorial break this past May. It was also my Birthday weekend and I wanted to do something fun and get out of the bay area for a while. Ruby can tell you all that I booked my tickets very last minute *i'm a procrastinator* on priceline.com for $341/RT (tax included). Not bad huh? This was my first airplane trip since 911 so I was a little nervous for my ride out. I left for Florida on Saturday afternoon. After 7 hours later with one layover, I finally arrived in humid Florida. I took the super shuttle ($11) to the hotel. We were staying in Sunny Isles about 30 minutes from South beach.
To my surprise by my grand entrance, these friends dissd me *hella* a lot. Damn New Yorkers - just like the old days with our bantering snide remarks at each other! :D That's what good 'ol friends do right? *hee* We mingled for a bit and headed to bed that night upon poking fun at Ruby's facked up ear lobe piercing. *hee* I cut my Birthday cake and they got me flowers too. :)

We woke up with the loud shrill of Ruby's voice nagging us to get up so that we can tan our bodies. We showered, lotioned ourselves and headed out to our beach front hotel after our brunch. The fresh squeezed OJ was delicious! No sun sighting for the first 3 hours. Then it showered so we gathered ourselves back to the hotel swimming pool. So any hot Asian guys? NO! Plenty of ghetto fabulous black people though. :) We tanned, took pictures and then headed to South Beach on the bus which took forever with the heavy traffic. I think Ashanti, Fat Joe, Genuine was performing there that weekend. We had dinner at Chalan Peruvian restaurant. This was my first time indulging in Pervuian food. It was really good! The marinated steak with onions was extremely flavorful. After dinner, we shopped around the street vendors to buy some souveniors. I got myself a sarong wrap and then club hopped for about 1 hour? We walked the strip and checked out BillboardLive after deciding not to opt to check out: Tantra, Liquid and some bar across the street from Loew's theater called Crobar I think. The place was hoppin' with black SUV cars with drop down tv mointors, hoochie looking mamas all over the freakin place. We clubbed until 3am.

Jenny, Katt and I slept in while Ruby continued her crusade to be determine to get her tan so she can sport it back at home. We love to poke fun at each other with our twitching eye movements and sexified bodacious body. LOL. (i'm not a surfer chick so don't be laughing esp. liz/charma!) So... we went to this Rascal's Deli a Jewish kosher joint for lunch. I love kosher pickles! YUM! We then went back to chill at the hotel and got ready for our limo ride to take us to Aventura Mall. We walked around the mall, I went to check out this store called Zara's which I absolutely adore. I bought my sister a shirt which she did not like. *grr*. We then went to Cheesecake Factory for dinner. We had the most decadent Tiramsu Cheesecake! I'm determined to try all the Cheesecake flavors someday. :) After dinner, we watched the Spiderman movie at AMC for the 10:30pm showing. We took the cab back to the hotel, got ready to pack to go home. We thought we were gonna walk around the beach and just sit and talk for the night but everyone became really tired.

FLL > FORT WORTH > SFO
Katt and I watched Letterman and O'Brien and my very first time watching the Food Network. I managed to stay awake until our check out from the hotel around 4am in the morning. On my way back to SFO, I slept all the way! Thanh came to pick me and I was craving some Pho so we went to Silver creek area to intoxicate ourselves.
