I came here for a week. I never come here for just a week but I just finished my first year of grad school classes and it was a good time to take off. This was my very first time going to Hong Kong with my dad. It was a special bonding trip for us, however I took only one lousy picture of us. I hate that. Argh! Oh well.
He met me at the airport because he was in Taiwan prior. We dropped off our luggage in Tsuen Wan Dorsett Far East Hotel http://hongkonghotel.dorsettfareast.com.hk/ and then went out to do stuff. (Stuff: see family, friends, eat, walk around, etc).
I met up with V and J as well. Man it was hot. I also have to mention I finally went to Chung King Mansion too. I can check that off my list.
I think the highlight of this trip was that I got food poisoning. Vomiting and Diarrhea up the wazhoo at 2am in the morning. Dad had to get me pills and crackers to eat. I had D/V up to D.C.
On the last leg of the trip I really wanted to do my shopping but I did not even have time to go to IFC, Kwun Tong, or check out a high tea place.
I just had my hair permed in TST but which was kinda wavy now. I got some work clothes and that was it.
What a short trip. Also a highlight was class 8 typhoon hit our way on the day I left HKG. I hailed a cab and luckily had membership to Premium lounge where I can eat, surf the internet, and rest.
Oh and I said I'll spend only $500 USD there for gifts/shopping. I did it and it wasnt so bad. :P
I went to Pokfulam, I can't believe I forgot to put that down.
