Grand Canyon + Arizona + L.A. entry ¡V
I think I took 2 days off from work to visit my aunties. I flew down to LA to hang out with my Aunt. They took the day off and we went to the Getty Museum for a day trip. I hung out with Betty really shortly at Monrovia¡¦s Starbucks. I also hung out with Ellen (Eug¡¦s sister) for the first time. In turn, she happened to live really close to my aunt! She took me to this famous chain prime rib restaurant to eat. I think it was called Woodranch Grill! I wasn¡¦t feeling too well¡KI don¡¦t remember why? We went shopping for a bit I think. Also I hung out in downtown Monrovia. It¡¦s cutesy. I think I went to a coffee shop to hang out and surfed the web because I was getting bored at my aunts place. We went out to Dim sum and had lunch together at Macaroni Grill. Hmmm. I think that¡¦s about it. I picked up my car rental from Avis (10% with my measly C.N.A. membership). I think it average around $60. It was a Ford Focus I think. I drove for about 5 hours to Phoenix. I stopped by Cabazon to do some outlet shopping. I got myself a pair of Pumas, workout pants and some shirts from Club Monaco.
The first evening in Phoenix was quiet. The house is huge with a pool! We stayed in to eat dinner. Then the next day auntie took me around Tucson and Scottsdale. We walked around, I checked out this Sunset Magazine restaurant but it was not all that (meaning it was not cute when I went in verses the ad on the magazine made it look really nice). I treated my aunt to P.F. Chang¡¦s for lunch. The stuff was extremely expensive to buy so I didn¡¦t get anything. I went to watch the cousins during their gymnastic lessons. I was sitting in the car crying to my other aunt because of a certain ¡§sisterly¡¨ issue. Whatever the case, it¡¦s been resolved. I told auntie I wanted to cook that evening. I made shrimp scampi, noodles, chicken marinated with Chinese sauce. Geez..I don¡¦t even remember! Auntie made dumplings or wontons so I remember eating that.
The next morning I woke up early to go to the resort near their house to be picked up by Canyontours.net. It was about $100 day trip to see Sedona and Grand Canyon. I saw the snoopy rock formation in Sedona. We stopped by for a quick lunch. Grand Canyon was cold. There was still snow on the floor. We were able to walk around on our own (get some aerial view shots) and I got myself a sterling silver cloth and a liquid silver earring to match my necklace. Fuz got me the necklace so I thought it would be nice to get a matching set. However I realized the earrings look like the tool to whip eggs with. I was the last to be dropped off back to the resort. I don¡¦t remember what else but I had a talk with my auntie. A good talk and then she took me to the airport. I wish I remembered more about this trip but I really don¡¦t. They chatted with me over dinner about relationships, marriage, and my job career.
All in all a good trip. I however lost all my pictures from a break-in from my car. Yeah. I left my bag in the front seat. Not very smart. I lost my new clothes, camera, broken window, and most importantly picture memories.
