JAZZ SPECTRUM'S FAVORITE LINKS
WOODLAND AUDIO & VIDEO
...we've recorded two CD's at this studio and mixed a third.  Highly recommended....friendly and  resonable.
THE FOUR FRESHMEN
...still going strong after over 50  years.  The first vocal group to place the melody as the  top note of the chord, similar to Stan Kenton's trombone section.  They are also outstanding  musicians who accompany themselves.
THE MANHATTAN TRANSFER
...perhaps the most versatile of all vocal groups.  TMT has been performing for over 30 years with only one change in personnel, the soprano voice.
LAMBERT, HENDRICKS & ROSS
... the best pure jazz vocal group ever.  Existed for only a short time, from 1957 to 1962 with Annie Ross and two more years with Yolande Bavan, although Bavan couldn't compare to Ross.
THE HI-LOS
...created a sensation in the mid 50's due to the innovative arrangements by Gene Puerling which took advantage of Clark Burroughs' exceptional range. His falsetto singing is beyond compare.
SINGERS UNLIMITED
...founded by Gene Puerling in 1967.  They stopped recording in 1980, but has there ever been a lead soprano better that Bonnie Herman?
LARRY BOISEN
...Jazz Spectrum's multi-talented sax player.  He also plays flute, harmonica, clarinet, oboe and piano.  He is a prolific composer, poet and playwright.  This site features a series of Larry's compositions, both jazz and classical,  designed for solos, duets, and more.
SUNNISIDEMUSIC
...the recording label for Jazz Spectrum.  Publisher of vocal arrangements by Bob Zaun, ASCAP, Jazz Spectrum's arranger.
