JazzPort is a collective jazz group from the Rochester, New York area that has been rehearsing and performing regularly since October of 1999. JazzPort most frequently performs as a jazz trio, but sometimes appears with additional musicians. The group is committed to playing the standard repertoire as well as to exploring new compositions. JazzPort has played in a wide variety of settings; see our list of previous gigs for examples.

JazzPort is currently booking appearances for Summer and Fall, 2003.

Previous gigs include: Borders Books & Music (both Victor and Henrietta, NY locations); Caffé dell' Arte in Rochester, NY; Christopher's Club Le Jazz Hot in East Rochester, NY; Lift Bridge Cafe in Fairport, NY; Metropolitan Bar and Grill in Rochester; Sport Works in Macedon, NY; Tonic in Rochester; opened for Bill Welch Band in May, 2001; has appeared at numerous other public and private events, including fundraisers; birthday, graduation, and office parties. Previous employers have been Fairport Village Coffee, the Village of Fairport, the Town of Perinton, Assumption Church, Roberts Communications, Shadow Lake country club, the Rochester Dental Society, and private individuals. JazzPort's members play individually and with other ensembles in the area.
