They, I

They say
     parting is such sweet sorrow.
I say
     Baloney.  A lot of sorrow and nothing       sweet about it.
They say
     You'll get over her.  You're just a              teenager.  Not ready for a serious             relationship.

I say
     You're not me.  Never have been,              never will.  You don't know what I          can handle and what I can't.  I don't         know until I'm in it, then if I can't            handle it, then I back off until I am           ready.
They say
     Well, you're gonna get hurt.
I say
      Then so be it.  You can't learn unless        you make mistakes, climb over                obstacles.
      That's what reality actually is:  One          big obstacle, and on the other side is         Eternity.
