The Road

The road stretches before me
no end in sight.
A road well traveled
many times before.
In the distance
over the horizon
she stands
waiting for me to come to her.
The road I travel
stretches out.

I am weary of traveling
on this road.
She still stands at the end,
waiting for me to come to her,
and end my journey.
