Standard 8: Identify the ways in which an organism’s habitat provides for its basic needs (plants require air, water, nutrients, and light, animals require food, water, air, and shelter.)
Standard 10: Give examples of how organisms can cause changes in their environment to ensure survival. Explain how some of these changes may affect the ecosystem.
Unwrap – Students will be able to identify various topics relevant to the Rainforest.
Big Idea – Separate into categories / characterize certain aspects of the Rainforest including vegetation, species, people, and preservation.
Essential Questions – How do animals thrive in the conditions conducive to the Rainforest environment? What factors play a role in the Rainforest environment? What kind of life exists in the Rainforest? How can we save our Rainforest? Why do we need to save the Rainforest?
