1. Jewish Religious School Library Specialist/Storytelling

     Teaching Jewish values through the medium of interactive story-telling and group processing

        I choose and tell interactive stories relating to values and lessons found in the Torah, linking them to our own lived lives.

Course Objectives:  

- Link the Torah values and lessons to our own lived lives

- Foster a sense of being able to make a positive difference in this life in the present and future

- Facilitate and foster integrative processing, group discussions of the stories and themes, with focus

   on their relevance to each child's own life.

- Discuss empowering ways to integrate these connections to spirit in their daily lives

- Nurture a sense of true community within the synagogue and in this world.

Through this teaching, I developed an additonal program that focused on the children's creation

of ongoing group--made "Midrash" stories throughout all of the grades.

2. Imagine That Workshop

     In a playful atmosphere, the children explore and expand their greatest inner resource, their imagination!

     The workshop creates ongoing multifaceted projects incorporating art, puppetry, creative writing,

     creative dramatics, music and movement. Each week the puppetry, creative different art form.

     Linking hands on aesthetic experiences within the Arts creates an exciting learning forum that fosters

     expanded self -esteem, self -discovery.

 

3. Create-A-Story Workshop

     Child centered adventures through the Creative Arts using ?expanded story-telling. This is an ongoing workshop

     using a collaborative story-making process which weaves together Narrative Creative Writing, Improvisation,

     Art, Music-making, Song-writing, Creative Dramatics, Puppetry and humor through individual and group process.

     Each child created their own original stories and books as well as group generated stories enactments and songs
