Jana Keeler began her singing career almost by accident. While waiting for a table at a popular Seattle restaurant, her friends persuaded her to sing with the piano player. There was wild applause from the patrons when later she went to her table to be seated."The rest is History". This led to more singing engagements with Primo Kim, the pianist at the downtown Roosevelt Hotel.

Her move to San Francisco, motherhood and a demanding work schedule took precedence over her singing carreer for quite a few years. When she finally ventured back into performing her friends urged her to join in with the very talented singers at Julie Ring's Heart and Soul. This led her to meet local cabaret impressario Christopher Copeland. Jana has since appeared in many Christopher Copeland productions as well as shows at Charles Schwab and Co., Julie Rings Heart and Soul, The Blue Muse, The Plush Room,The Swallow and Martuni's.

In Octoberof 1999 she was asked to portray Kate Smith at Mrs. Smith's induction into the raadio hall of fame in Chicago. During that live broadcvast she sang the "other" national anthem, "God Bless America" to a standing ovation. Jana has also been invited to appear at the San Francisco Cabaret Convention June of 2000.

A great stylist of cabaret and jazz standards she excels at telling a story through song. At her debut in the Christopher Copeland Production of "Weaver of Dreams" LA's Drama-Logue writer Dean Goodman wrote "Jana Keeler, an attractive brunette with a big voice... stopped the show cold with her Time Heals Everything and Making Love Alone. The enthusiastic audience was on its feet for her; it must have been like that when Streisand made her first appearances. Keelers debut should send her on her way to the top...".
