Classically trained, Claudia showcases the power of opera/jazz/blues sensibility with an exuberant personal energy. Claudia is sincere and shares her space with every member of her group. Her accompanying trio reads Claudia perfectly, going through the changes like butter on toast. Together they keep the music away from sterility by staying in touch with improvosation as they push each other to the limits. She plays with meter and bends the notes into intriguing new shapes. She manages tomake all of it sound as natural and effortless as breathing. This is most natable with her seductive version of "Summertime".
