I was born August 22, 2001. After several weeks, I was put into a cage with my brothers away from my parents. I had four brothers, one was a spotted black, another an agouti, and the last two were spotted agouti like myself.

When I was about ten weeks old, a girl human brought me to a new place. The new human named me DJ. My new home had 3 other humans living in it with my new human. There was also an evil meowing monster (or a cat to humans) that the humans called Molly. I had already seen cats before; my home before also had a cat. I later discovered this new place also had an above ground lake with two fish in it.

In this new place, my house had wire walls. Very different from the clear walls I had before. I liked the wire walls, and soon discovered the fun of chewing on the wires. I like to chew especially the cardboard tunnels and paper they give me. I LOVE paper!

My human sometimes carries me to a clear wall house next to the above ground lake. I call it the cabin by the lake. It's full of bedding for me to roll in and there's a vertical tunnel to climb up and down. On top of the tunnel is a smaller room that I dig in.

I like being carried around in my human's shirtsleeve. Though sometimes the human wears clothes with short sleeves that I can't climb into. The human lets me run around on her elevated sleeping perch. I like to jump off and under it. The human doesn't seem to like that; she always picks me up and puts me back in the wire wall house.

I get lots of treats. And not just food treats. I get fun paper to chew up and make my bed big. My favorite food treats are fresh apple and carrot. I sometimes get dried carrot in my yum yum dish- that's good too. I also am given sunflower seeds, but I like pumpkin seeds and peanuts better.
