LAP Chapter 3: Algebra 2

 

In this chapter the student will review and extend his knowledge of linear equations and inequalities.  The students will learn

1.       graph inequalities

2.       solve systems of equations

3.       solve systems of inequalities

4.       use linear programming to find a maximum and minimum values of functions.

5.       model real-world data in linear programming

 

9/21      The student will learn to draw graphs of inequalities in two variables.  HOMEWORK: p.113#16—21, 25—28

 

9/22      The student will learn to solve a systems of equation by graphing.  HOMEWORK:

p. 130-131# 14—17, 21—23, 25—27, 45, 46

 

9/23      The student will learn to solve a systems of inequalities.  HOMEWORK: p.151#13—18

 

9/24      The student will take a quiz over the learned material. HOMEWORK: Find a date!

 

9/27      The student will learn to solve systems of equation by substitution or elimination..  HOMEWORK: p.137-138#16—18, 24—26, 34, 36 all

 

9/28      The student will use the CBR to find the graphical representation of a student walking.   HOMEWORK: Worksheet

 

9/29      The student will use the CBR to find the graphical representation of two students walking.   HOMEWORK: Worksheet

 

9/30      The student will continue to use the CBR to find the graphical representations.   HOMEWORK: Worksheet

 

10/1      The student will take a quiz over the learned material. HOMEWORK: p.152#1—10omit5

 

10/4      The student will learn to use linear programming to find maximums and minimums of function values.  HOMEWORK: p.157#14—22 all

 

10/5      The student will learn to use linear programming in real life situations.  HOMEWORK:  Worksheet

 

10/6      The student will continue to use linear programming in real life situations.  HOMEWORK:  Worksheet

 

10/7      The student will review the chapter’s objective in preparation for tomorrow’s test.  HOMEWORK:  Worksheet

 

10/8      The student will display his knowledge on a test.
