LAP CHAPTER 13

 

In this chapter the student will explore the trigonometric functions by finding exact values and solving triangles.

 

4/12     The student will solve problems involving right triangles and he will find the trigonometric functions for acute angles. HOMEWORK:  p.778#16—20 all,  35—41 odd

 

4/13     The student will solve triangles by using the Law of Sines.  HOMEWORK: p.796#15—39 (multiples of 3)

 

4/14     The student will apply SOHCAHTOA and the Law of Sines to real world applications.  HOMEWORK: Worksheet

 

4/18     The student will solve triangles by using the Law of Cosines.  HOMEWORK: p.802#13—29 odd

 

4/19     The student will draw angles in standard position and find  coterminal angles.  HOMEWORK: Worksheet

 

4/20     The student will learn to convert degrees to radians and review for tomorrow’s quiz.  HOMEWORK: Worksheet

4/21     The student will take a quiz.  HOMEWORK: Extra Credit—Write a proof for the formula   (Use p.792 as a reference—a picture should be part of the proof.)

 

4/25     The student will find reference angles and trigonometric values for general angles.  HOMEWORK:   p.790#32—40 all

 

4/26     The student will find values of trigonometric functions from the trigonometric identities.  HOMEWORK: p.790#26—29 all, 41—49 all

 

4/27     The student will review for the test.  HOMEWORK: Complete the review.

 

4/28     The student will take a test.
