Well we had an interesting, but good show Saturday at the Elk's Club. Good because the crowd reaction was great, interesting because well we felt a little out of place sharing the show with punk, ska, and acoustic acts, but hey we were more than happy to bring a big dose of metal to the show! Besides we had a great time, the crowd had a great time, and the other bands were great! Thanks to Steve for put this whole thing together (the show and the "Elk Tracks" Compilation). Get ahold of us or one of the other participating bands to get your copy now!! Next weeks double duty, catch us in Wilcox and Reynoldsville!! Later!
\m/ METAL \m/
Yeah July is turning into a busy show month for us, pretty much every weekend!! So that means NO excuse to not come out and see us!! We'll "kill" you when you do show up, but if you don't we might really kill you!! Keep checking for updates and also, if you haven't already seen, we've got the demo version of "Ultra Perfect Machinery" loaded up on My Space, so give it a listen, get addicted to it and come get a copy of our demo, if you already have one . . . get another or else!! Later!
\m/ METAL \m/
You can expect to see us in Kersey again some time in the future, the community building is awesome for gigs, now if we can just get more people to show up! Anyway the gig went well, though we were without Hicks and Deep Within and Shades of War rocked hard as usual! We're working on some new material right now as well as searching for the next bass player, no gigs currently booked right now, but that will change soon! Later!
\m/ METAL \m/
I am extremely shitty at updating this page lately, good thing we keep up on the My Space page. Anyway, the Metalfest kicked major ass and we wanna thank Rippen and everybody involved! I had to leave early, but Chatfield said it was good times!! Tomorrow we play in the metropolis that is Kersey, PA. Fucking be there or else!! It will be us along with Shades of War and Deep Within! Lots of metal in your face!! Later!!
\m/ METAL \m/
Man, I haven't posted an update in forever, fucking slacker. Anyway, unfortunately for us, in August, Hicks is gonna be moving away to further his education and we wish him the best of luck, but this of course means we need to start looking for a new bass player. So, if you're interested and can play the four string like a crazy mother fucker, get ahold of us damn it!! All prospective bass players should e-mail the band at [email protected] or you can always message us through My Space at www.myspace.com/demiseawaits1. Later.
\m/ METAL \m/
Finally, we got our first show in at Fox's in Reynoldsville! We saw the debut of Shades of War . . . awesome! Expect to see us teaming up with these guys a lot in the future! Deadlift, of course, kicked some major ass! This show was non-stop energy from start to finish! I have never seen so much moshing in such a small place!! We even had our first blood drawn during a gig (I Want Your Blood indeed!)! Next is the Hillbilly Metal Fest and I can't begin to tell you how much this is going to rock!! Don't be suprised if we pick up a show or two before then, however! Later!
\m/ METAL \m/
That's right, you read it correctly, Demise Awaits is officially part of this May's Hillbilly Metal Fest!! Check this line-up out: Eyes of Anguish, Pierced Not Broken, Brave The Fire, Deadlift, Neocracy, Killafornia, In The Eyes of, She's In Pain, Demise of Eros, Once Nothing, Gnashing of Teeth, and us!! Tickets are $8 if you buy them in advance or $10 at the show. For more info check out: www.myspace.com/hillbillymetalfest. But before all that, is this weekends show at Fox's in Reynoldsville, which also has a kick ass line-up and being that we missed the last show there, we intend to blow the roof off this place extra hard!! See ya there!!
\m/ METAL \m/
The Surf N' Skate Battle of the Bands is now in the books, it was one hell of a night of music. First place went to Second Offense, second place was Bow Down, and in third, your favorite band and mine, Demise Awaits! Not first, but more importantly we sold an ass load of advanced copies of our demo and almost as many t-shirts. We got the word out and earned some new fans, what more can you ask?! More dates and other info coming soon. Later!
\m/ METAL \m/
Well, things are looking good for the Battle of the Bands this weekend. Considering we haven't played a gig in a while between traveling, jobs, injuries, and all sorts of other personal bull shit, we're pumped as hell to be back playing again. Speaking of playing we've got a new gig lined up at Fox's on April 1st and I'll be damned if we're going to miss this one! And finally, for those of you who are dying to hear the demo, go to our My Space page, NOW! You can hear the finished versions of "Omega" and "I Want Your Blood!" Tell me they don't sound fucking awesome!! We want to send a huge thanks out to Steve Schoening of Capital S Studios, who gave us professional sound on an amateur budget! Look him up for your demo!! Later!!
\m/ METAL \m/
Unfortunately, we had to bow out of the Fox's gig due to a combination of the whole "day-job" thing and the fact that my stupid ass can't use a set of stairs properly (don't ask)! Things are still in order for the Battle of the Bands, even if I have to sit my ass down and play and headbang on a stool. And now for the good news, mastering/mixing of our demo is finally complete! That's right, we are in possession of a mastercopy and just about ready to release it. So be ready!
\m/ METAL \m/
Ok, I know it's been awhile since I've updated, hey I was out of town, give me a damn break, anyway. The main recording of the demo is done and we are right in the middle of some hardcore mixing and mastering. Like I mentioned before, we've got six originals recorded and any of you that have seen us live know what to expect, but believe me the recordings sound awesome! We made a point of playing the main rhythm track live in-studio, in order to capture that natural live feel to the songs, cause essential we're a live band, we live for it and so do you! Mixing is practically done, we're just being prickish now about getting it perfect, but in the very near future we should have copies at our gigs along with some more t-shirts we ordered. On the gig side of things, we've got a gig coming up next Saturday, March 11th. This will be our first gig at what has apparently become a different sort of haven for metal locally (and wings!). We're playing with, Her Funeral and Orphan. Should be an awesome show! Later!
\m/ METAL \m/
It took us almost 4 months to get back to Surf N' Skate, due to some circumstances beyond our control (damn it!), but we finally made our return to the site of our first gig (with the new line-up). I promised you that when we returned to Surf N' Skate that it would be even crazier than the first time (I did really, check the news article from 10/16/05!), and it definitely was! Orphan opened the show and got the crowd all jacked up with their attitude filled performance. Then we took the "stage" (there isn't really a stage, I mean it's a skating rink, you'd know that if you were there) and had a hell of a time. We got to play our newest song "I Want Your Blood" for the Surf N' Skaters and Chatfield asked them to go extra crazy for the new song and sure enough they did. Almost as crazy as the "encore" of Megadeth's "Holy Wars." You guys better soak that shit up while you can, cause believe me this band don't plan on doing covers for much longer. As far as recording goes, we just put in five days straight right before the gig and the songs are really taking shape! Two or three are done except for mixing already and the rest won't take much longer. We go back in tomorrow for a little more guitar, bass, and vocals. More updates coming soon, check back.
\m/ METAL \m/
Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Saturday, it began, the Demise Awaits invasion of Steel Town, USA. Man, that sounds so lame, anyway. Friday was our gig at Margaritaville in Pittsburgh. Now I gotta say, I thought the stages here in the sticks were small, I mean we weren't sure if we could make it work, but the show must go on and go on we did. This was one of the loudest crowds we've had yet. When we broke into a cover of "Creeping Death", these people were chanting "die! die! die!" before we even got to the part! Fucking crazy! The Zimmermann Note put on a killer set, so did (insert band name here, sorry guys forgot the name, hey it was a long drive), who covered for Deep Within. It should not be long until we head back to Pittsburgh! This week however, recording has resumed. Already we have most of the drum/main rhythm tracks set and should shortly be doing bass, leads, and vocals. With some extra ass-busting, we hopefully will get all the tracking done before Saturday, which incedently is our next gig at Surf N' Skate. More updates and gigs coming soon, see ya at Surf N' Skate!
\m/ METAL \m/
I sure as hell hope somebody's reading this shit, cause I've been writing a hell of a lot of news articles lately. We picked up a show at Surf N' Skate on Feb 4th, with four other bands (Orphan, 4 Days Dirty, Second Offense, & Opposition), should be an awesome show! That's an awful lot of damn music for a $4 cover charge, so don't miss that! Everything seems to be falling into place for the show at Margaritaville in Pittsburgh, so we and the other bands can just concentrate on kicking as much ass as possible! Recording of the demo has officially started and we should have a song done by this weekend which will be appearing on a local compilation album (I'll give ya the details later). The sound is incredible even before mixing, so we expect a totally kick ass demo! We're recording at Capital S Studios in Sykesville, PA (that's right Sykesville). Super high quality sound and equipment and very affordable. Any other bands interested, drop us an e-mail at [email protected] and we'll pass ya the specifics. Later.
\m/ METAL \m/
I know it's sorta last minute, but next week on Friday January 27th, Demise Awaits will make it's debut in the Steel Town. It's a bit of a drive, but too bad. You know you wanna be there. This show is gonna kick some major ass! It's us along with The Zimmermann Note and Deep Within! Not sure of the exact time, 8:00PM is kind of a guess (6:00PM is when we're supposed to be there, so sometime after that). Also, not to sure on the cover charge, but I'll post it when I find out. This Monday (1/16/06) we got all setup in the studio and did some fine tuning. A little bit more drum tweeking and we'll be ready to start ripping out these songs. With any luck we should have the vast majority recorded before we have to pack up for Pittsburgh, it's looking like a six song, all original demo with maybe some extra stuff. The sound checks we did on Monday sounded fucking awesome and that was before Mixing, EQing, and all that fancy shit. More updates on the way. See you in Blitzburgh bitches! (Update: Cover Charge is $4)

Well, to be perfectly honest with you, the Who Care's show didn't go quite as planned, many of the bands cancelled, leaving only us and Domicile. There weren't a whole hell of a lot of people, but we all had a good time and most importantly still played our asses off. The guys from Domicile were real cool and they're a really tight band. Their bass player couldn't make it, but their sound was still heavy. Chatfield was kinda sick, so we had some vocal help from Fred (Domicile), Joel (Shades of War), and a few others. This week we start the recording of our demo. We'll being setting up on Tuesday and checking everything in. We should be in full recording mode by the end of the week. So far we have six songs done for the demo, but we are working on a few more. With any luck we should have a full 8+ song demo when we are done. I'll keep you post on how it goes, so keep checking in. Later.
\m/ METAL \m/
Well, we are officially signed up for the big 'Battle of The Bands' at Surf N' Skate on March 18th. You can check the specifics on the gigs page, which includes all of the bands confirmed so far (as far as I know at least). It should be an awesome show, but first . . . this weekend is our show at Who Care's. It will be a great show with bands from all over the place. I will put a recap on here the day after or so and also give you a little info on the soon to be recording of our demo. If you haven't seen us before, check out our My Space page for some live versions of some of the songs that will appear on the demo.
\m/ METAL \m/
We have another gig lined up, so fucking go to it. It's with Death Rattle, Domicile, The Zimmerman Note, & Death Do Us Part at Who Care's on January 14th. As if you need another reason to go, we will be debuting our new song "I Want Your Blood." For those of you who know us, you know it will be crazy, but believe me this is the most insane thing we have done yet!
\m/ METAL \m/
Well, we just ended one hell of a weekend. It started with a last minute gig at Abba's Coffeehouse on Saturday with Deadlift and Neocracy. For a last minute gig it ended up being a great show. Deadlift was super tight. I had to leave part way through Neocracy's set, but if the rest was like the few songs i did catch, it was awesome. Then of course there was the HUGE show at 3rd Ward Fire Hall. What an amazing show!! Tons of bands, tons of people, and tons of energy!! Thanx to Ophelia Lives for putting the whole thing together. We've got some gigs coming up in January, but I don't have the specifics yet. I'll post them ASAP. Keep it heavy.
The line-up has changed a little bit for the gig this weekend at the 3rd Ward Fire Hall in DuBois. It's still 11 bands, but with a few different names, here's the line-up: No Sympathy, Failsafe, Necropolis, Disaster Front, The Zimmermann Note, Demise Awaits, Ophelia Lives, Neocracy, Once Nothing, Deadlift, & Hand In Hand. I think this is the order we're playing in too, but I'm not definite. Cover charge is still $6 and you can afford that, so show up!! You don't wanna be one of the losers that's like, "I didn't go, but man, I heard it was fucking crazy!!" Don't be a loser. No body likes a loser.
\m/ METAL \m/
Well, unfortunately we had to bow out of the Surf N' Skate gig on the 26th at the last minute. Until this music thing fully takes off we're still holding down "day jobs" which kinda gets in the way of things sometimes and it was something we couldn't get out of. But anyway, the next gig is the INSANE show at the 3rd Ward Fire Hall in DuBois on December 4th. 11 fucking bands for a $6 cover charge, can't beat that!! We'll be there and you better be too, if you know what's good for you.
\m/ METAL \m/
Despite some line-up changes, The Who Care's Halloween Bash went awesome. Her Funeral opened the night and rocked hard. It was their last gig with one of their singers (whose name escapes me at the moment), but either way it kicked ass. Then The Horde played a killer set and announced their new name: Shades of War. They've got some new demos on their My Space site, check them out and be prepared to bang your head. No Sympathy played third after just having got in the door the whole way from St. Mary's and rocked even harder than when we played with them at Surf N' Skate. We played last and had a great time. Not a huge crowd, but everybody there was totally into it and going fucking ape shit. I for one, burst a blood vessel in my right eye during our set (Don't ask me how, I don't know). Anyway, we got a few weeks off till our next gig, which is on Nov. 26th at Surf N' Skate with Death Rattle & Eyes of Anguish. So show up and rock or die!
\m/ METAL \m/
Last night was the first Demise Awaits gig with the new line-up and much ass was kicked. What was originally supposed to be a three band show ended up only being two. Big thanx to No Sympathy for sharing the bill with us and shredding like crazy, definitely awesome. Check them out when you get a chance. We had a pretty good sized crowd and they were definitely into it and ready to rock. Huge thanx to everybody who came out. We're working on booking more gigs and will hopefully be returning to Surf N' Skate very soon. It will be even crazier next time.

Welcome to www.demiseawaits.com. This will be our homepage until we can get a full-blown, kick-ass website up. It will still be www.demiseawaits.com, but with a newer, more professional look. This site will be updated regularly, so keep checking back for more news, gigs, pictures, videos(eventually), and much more. This Saturday October 15th at Surf N' Skate will be the first gig with the new line-up. It starts at 7:30PM, so come out and check us out, along with Clearview Kills and No Sympathy. You will get your money's worth and then some. There will be many more gigs coming and we are planning on recording a demo very soon.
