These are pictures from our Labor Day trip to Ha Ha Tonka State Park, where I asked Sarah to marry me.  There are a few pictures from our engagement photo shoot as well.
Sarah in front of the sign showing shots of the castle in its glory days.
The castle is in a beautiful setting on the lake of the Ozarks.
After our picnic we decided to go and view the ruins of the castle.
The castle was started in 1905 and was to have 60 rooms on 3 floors.
Sparks from a fireplace started a fire that gutted the castle in 1942.
People watched us set the camera's timer and run, but never offered to take the picture.
This is a picture of the old water tower.  It was a tower that held....
water.
A long distance shot of the castle ruins from the trail that leads down to the island.
I showed Sarah my brute strength by pushing over a landmark which was centuries old.
I played Sarah the song I wrote for her and in the last line I asked her to marry me.
A close up of the bottle would reveal it to be sparkling apple cider. Really.
One of those "wish we had someone else to hold the camera" shots.

These are our official engagement pictures.  Accept no imitations.
You can find them elsewhere on the site, but I think they're worthy of repeated viewings.
Those little dots are people and for some reason we hiked all the way down there.
