Top 5 Actors She Should Work with Next
10. John Travolta
Pfeiffer seems to
enjoy doing musicals. It would be great seeing them shaking their booties and
belting out some tunes. The chemistry isn’t obvious on paper so it would be interesting
how their chemistry would play out in the screen.
9. Tom Cruise
Pfeiffer hasn’t
done slapstick and screwball comedy. So I guess Cruise and Pfeiffer for a
change of pace, would be great in a screwball comedy (Bringing Up Baby, What’s
Up Doc?, The Lady Eve). It would be fun seeing Cruise and Pfeiffer doing
pratfalls. Plus it would be a kick seeing a Cruise-Pfeiffer marquee.
8. Dustin Hoffman
Do you think it
would be a stretch if Hoffman and Pfeiffer play husband and wife? Well hard to
say but Pfeiffer already played love interest to much older male stars (Sean
Connery, Jack Nicholson, Harrison Ford). Pfeiffer could play a gold digger in a
film noir which she also haven’t done.
7. Diane Keaton
She’s a great
comedienne, and she’s quirky, and I think she would be perfect opposite
Pfeiffer. I hope if ever they do a movie it’s going to be a comedy that doesn’t
involve men, just a true blue comedy without the obligatory love interest and
romance.
6. Michael Caine
He’s charismatic,
he’s funny, he’s a great actor, he’s charming so Pfeiffer can’t go wrong with
Michael Caine.
5. Jodie Foster
A lot of people
say that they are two of the best actresses of their generation. So if ever
they would do a movie together, that’s a headliner! I can’t see them as
sisters, probably they should play best friends or at the other extreme mortal
enemies.
4. Meryl Streep
She’s an Oscar
magnet and she is known for choosing great roles. I would like to see the in a
drama hopefully in the same vein as Marvin’s Room. Maybe Pfeiffer could play
the beautiful younger sister who always gets the attention while Streep could
play the envious older sister. But I hope it’s a quiet drama that focuses on
the core of the sister’s conflict not an over the top melodrama.
3. Elizabeth
Taylor
Another screen
legend that Pfeiffer should work with. She’s no longer active in movies but she
did The Flinstones in early 90’s so there’s still hope.
2. Faye Dunaway
When I see movies
of Faye Dunaway at her prime (especially Bonnie and
1. Paul Newman
In an interview,
Paul Newman said that before fully retiring to making movies, he would want to
make one last movie. I’m crossing my fingers that Michelle Pfeiffer would be in
that historic last movie of his. It’s bad enough that Pfeiffer never had the
chance to work with those
