Title: Tie A Yellow Ribbon
Rating: R
Notes: Okay,
there is no plot, no point to this except it came to me this morning. I wanted
to write a Christmas CJ/Toby piece but was lacking in inspiration. Pure fluff.
Tie A Yellow Ribbon
It was after eight on Christmas morning when CJ let herself into Toby's
apartment with the key from Ginger's drawer. Quietly she
moved around the apartment, unpacking the champagne and danishes into his fridge
and stacking the newspapers off of his coffee table.
Satisfied everything was in place she slipped out of her coat and lay down in front of his three foot tree.
He had been reluctant to put up a tree, being Jewish and all but she had encouraged him with exactly this in mind.
Taking a deep breath, the first doubts entering her head, she picked up her cell and dialled Toby's cell.
He answered somewhat groggily on the fourth ring. `Yeah.'
`It's CJ.'
`What?' he grumbled.
She grinned at his mood, `Well that's a great way to greet someone who has a present for you.'
CJ heard him moving down the hallway, no doubt sitting up.
`I thought we were doing presents at the Residence later.'
She tried hard to hide her giggles, `This has to be done now, it won't wait until later.'
`You remember I'm Jewish right, we don't celebrate Christmas.'
`Toby,' she began, `In fifteen years we have always exchanged presents, so lighten up.'
He had to admit that was the truth, in fact this year he had bought her gift in
June, seeing it and thinking of her immediately. That
made him smile and he relented, `Okay, where is it.'
Okay it was now or never, `It's under the tree.'
`You gonna stay on the line while I go get it?' he asked.
`No, I'll phone you back,' she said as the phone went dead.
`You didn't even wish me Merry Christmas,' he mumbled as he got out of bed , forgoing his robe to walk down the hallway in his t-shirt and boxers. The room was dark and the tree tucked in the corner by the dining table.
He made it as far as the window and pulled back
the curtains. Turning to the tree his jaw dropped and his eyes went wide.
He rubbed his hand across his face to check he was awake and not just dreaming.
`Merry Christmas.' CJ announced stretching slightly.
Toby stood speechless as he stared at his best friend.
She lay across the floor wearing nothing except a big grin and a yellow bow. Of course when she stretched the bow slipped and left nothing to the imagination. `Are you going to unwrap your present?' She asked purring softly.
`I…um… that is to say… CJ.'
CJ extended a hand and he helped her up, the bow slipping to the floor.
His eyes wandered over her, naked before him.
> `Toby, we can always do this later with the others,' she said, her eyes twinkling.
He grabbed her by the waist and pulled her towards her forcefully. `I don't like to share,' he muttered before his lips crashed against hers.
The End
